Inevitably, as I move from one place to another, I would come into contact with the natural surroundings. The surroundings can be monotonously similar, or it can vary considerably, depending on how far I have to travel to reach my destination. Whatever the case it is a good opportunity to take pictures. Sometimes I would hastely photograph it through an open window; other times I would have a whole afternoon wandering around the area when bad fate struck down the bus.
Landscapes on the road from one place to another are often more exciting to me than those set apart as national treasures, mainly because the bus ride covers a wide linear area, while a well-known site is circular and can be static looking and boring. Although I prefer to observe nature from a bus, there are famous nature reserves that I cannot pass. These nature sites are sacred and can only be experienced in their enclosed realm.
I like to photograph landscapes, and everything in general, at a state where it can be observed all the time. Generally, I am not interested in unsual lighting that I have wait on a special day and time, or at a special vantage point that I have to travel far just to gain a shot. I am interested in the land as what it represents, not wonders due to things outside of it. But this does not mean that I would not photograph when that special lighting happens, or when I am at the perfect vantage point. It just has to be there when I am there.
